At the beginning of each cycle, we roll the dice and assign numbers to selected actions or events (so-called dice placement). There are no classical tasks either, which the Creator has replaced with drives. They are responsible for the development of the hero's skills, such as Engineering and Stamina. This does not mean that the second Citizen Sleeper is "just" a new story in an almost identical game. This time, the protagonist doesn't live on a dilapidated space station, but has his own ship that needs repairs and a crew. All this requires resources, which we can only obtain by taking on often risky missions, which can also bring the hero's former employer to our aid. Technical issues Guillaume Singelin was once again responsible for the visual layer. So it should come as no surprise that the cartoon-style graphics of Citizen Sleeper 2 are similar to those of the first game, combining a sterile three-dimensional world with two-dimensional characters. There are still no recorded dialogues, although the characters do talk quite a lot, as befits an RPG. The atmosphere of the space adventure is complemented by Amos Roddy's music. Initially, you'll be up against the local fauna (such as wolves, giant beetles and stubbleworms), but as you progress you'll come up against more formidable foes (such as skeletons, orcs and demons). Fights are dynamic, and we can use both melee weapons (one-handed and two-handed swords, axes, hammers) and ranged weapons (crossbows, bows), as well as offensive and defensive magic. Game mechanics In Last Epoch, released on the PC platform, before starting the game, we choose one of the five basic character classes; a rogue, a mage, a knight, an acolyte and a shaman are at our disposal. But that's not all, as we progress we will be able to choose a master specialisation, which will allow us to direct our character's development in the direction that suits us best; for example, a rogue can become a master of white weapons or an archer, while an acolyte can become a necromancer or a combat mage. All that remains for us to do is take part in the game, which is played in an isometric view. As the game progresses, we will travel through different versions of the land of Eterra, complete story quests and side missions, and face hordes of enemies. We also increase the hero's combat potential by unlocking and developing his skills (each of which has an extensive upgrade tree) and stats, as well as acquiring increasingly better equipment. Character Classes The class we choose determines which equipment our hero can use, and some items can only be found in a specific era - if we want to transfer them from one era to another, we can use a special cache that exists independently of space-time. Nothing prevents us from upgrading our armoury, weapons and gadgets with the help of the crafting system, or getting rid of unnecessary ballast at the merchants.
